Hey gang as some of you know I'm involved with the Michigan Homebrew Festival that is held here in the Mitten State over the 3rd weekend in August. This year we are celebrating the 10th year of MHF and we have decided to open it up to homebrew clubs and brewers outside of Michigan. Yes even those of you in Ohio!
It costs nothing for your club to participate but participants from your club would need to become a MHF "club member" which is about $40 membership plus cost for either camping or hotel costs.
Last year we had 20 homebrew clubs represented with over 300 homebrewed beers, wines, mead, and ciders with endless pours over the 3 to 4 days of the event. Honestly this is great event and opportunity to meet like minded homebrewers and try amazing beer that you can't get anywhere else. If you would like more information you can visit http://www.mhfsite.com or feel free to reach out to my through the forum here on this post or by PM or email at leigh@beerborg.com
Here are some pictures from last year's event.

Hi, I am new to this but live in Michigan and am wondering what might be planned for 2021? I recognize this is all subject to the world we live in but it doesn’t hurt to plan ahead sometimes.

If you click the first link in his post, it'll take you to a page that says it's cancelled for 2020 and had a countdown for 2021.

Hey Jcarter, welcome to the Borg. Are you with particular Homebrew Club? We haven't discussed anything for 2021 yet but we will be starting to look at our options for it after the first of the year. If everything is moving forward with a COVID vaccine and the state opens up we should be able to have an event for next summer.jcarter wrote:Hi, I am new to this but live in Michigan and am wondering what might be planned for 2021? Thank you for the information. I will keep my eyes and ears open as the year progresses. Not yet with a HomeBrew club as I am just getting into home brewing but am certainly open to suggestions. Located in the country north of, and between, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.

Hey, I am in Eaton County and looking for some homebrewers in the area. Do you all know where I can find some like minded brewers around here?

I don't know how close Red Ledge Brewers are but this is a really great club. http://www.redledgebrewers.com/Hayzer wrote:Hey, I am in Eaton County and looking for some homebrewers in the area. Do you all know where I can find some like minded brewers around here?

You might want to also check with Capital City Homebrew Supply they may be able to help direct you to another club.

Kazoo and Battle Creek have some really great clubs. I know a few guys from Keepers of Craft and they are really great brewers. Check them out. https://keepersofcraft.club/jcarter wrote:Thank you for the information. I will keep my eyes and ears open as the year progresses.
