can I re use the plastic beer bottles with the same caps? also if I can could I clean them in the dish washer?

Yes you can re-use the PET bottles that comes in a kit many times. The caps can be re-used alot also, but will go bad after a period of time. As far a dishwater safe, I would not recommend that. Use oxi-clean free or PBW in warm water and rinse.

plastic bottles and their caps can be reused for quite a while
never had a bottle wear out but the caps will eventually

dishwasher: no
i swab clean my PET bottles with a cotton handkerchief - dipped in a solution of 'clear' dish detergent - wrapped 'round a wooden skewer
pbw soak for stubborn residues

never could find a soft bottle brush for 1-liters ...
