Thank you very much Jeff, they made it safe and sound and I really like the magnets!

I still need to drink what Phil sent me but this is a long weekend so I may have them all.

Glad they made it Bret, hope you enjoy.
Had the caps made here. I think it was 20$ for 60 caps. At first I put them on beers, but then I thought about the fridge magnets. I cap them on a twist off bottle, remove and put a small piece of broken magnet on it, couldn't be easier.

Can't wait to try these with some good friends!

I know I already thanked you for the BeerMail in a PM Jeff but I wanted to thank you again publicly! As I mentioned before it couldn't have come at a better time! :)

I do have a question about the caps though. Why are you capping them? Others that I have from other breweries just use unused/uncapped to make the magnets.

There is a place not far from here called Texas Foam that makes wine shippers which are a Styrofoam insert in a cardboard box for 2, 4, and I think 12 wine bottles but they don't make beer shippers. I wonder if it is because of bottle bombs? looking at the pics on the website it seems like that wouldn't be a problem. But of course they don't post the prices either.

I've never had a bottle bomb issue in the mail. I have seen pics of it happen though, best thing to do is put a garbage back over the beers so it contains the liquid and wont get held up in shipping.
Also, try to avoid having the beer stay over the weekend, ship on Mondays.

I know have sent one batch out so far, just curious that they didn't make them for beer.

Of course the beer went out in the big Belgian Saison bottles all the time I guess the wine shippers would work.

I need to call them some day to satisfy my curiosity.

Yeah they work well for 750ml bottles.
Even 22oz bottles will work, though you need some padding.
Hell, a guy shipped me a bunch of Plinys in one, I think those are 575ml or something stupid haha.

Personally I use bubble wrap and rubberbands on the bottles + that brown paper packing material to fill in any space.

Same here but also double boxed but only because I was also sending a bunch of yeast vials.

Hope the USPS decides they want to encourage AKA go after the revenue of beer shippers, it might make it easier on everyone (though alas probably not cheaper).

In my OCD brain they just have a cleaner look to them after they have been capped.
