"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

I think there's a rule that says the new guy has to buy the first round.

Well, good to see you here, too. Can I pick your brain now that you're here? I've only used a little round label on top of my beer caps that I buy from Walmart in a little package and I hand write the name of the beer on the cap that way. I'm considering trying something a little fancier for my bottles, but I want something super simple and cheap and easy to peel off. Do you have any good suggestions? I only ask because, after all, you are the Beer Label Man. I been meaning to ask you for awhile now.
:thanks:

Joe, you can use a permanent marker to mark caps.

For the bottles, you can of course buy labels of both the permanent and reusable kind. I made a template in Word with a light picture in the background and used the mailmerge function to pull my data in from my Excel spreadsheet, and it makes 6 per page. I print them on plain paper, and use glue sticks ($.25 per stick during back to school at many stores) to put them on. I print them in black and white, and cut them out with a scissors.

So Rick, you use plain paper and glue stick. Sounds easy enough. Couple questions. Sweat from the bottle doesn't mess up the paper? Is the glue hard to remove when you want to change labels?
