Hello old friends!!!

Post by RangerDanger »

I hadn't been by the Borg in a while as I've been super busy adjusting to my new job and new life in China! I haven't even had time to check out the forum, much less think about brewing. Found some time to stop by today though and quickly found out most of the users have moved to this site. Kudos to whoever put it together! It's a shame how fast the MB site went to hell. It looks like I won't be able to brew here in Shanghai like I was hoping....partly because I've been so busy and partly because supplies are redicilously expensive here! Anyway, I'll probably stop by every now and then just to answer a question or two.

Hope everyone is doing well! Brew on!

Good you "see" ya! Yes, THE BORG moved here. Louie MacGoo is the culprit but we all thank him daily for saving the Collective.

Not much of a story. The wifey and I decided we needed a change of scenery and were up for an adventure. Started applying for jobs all over the world and six months later here we are! We live in Kunshan, which is a small town right outside of Shanghai (when I say small, I mean it only has about 1.5 million people - that's a small town for China). Its been a pretty big adjustment but we really love our jobs and all of our coworkers. We plan to stay in China for at least a year or two, then head off to the next country....hopefully somewhere in Europe. The downside is my beer brewing is definitely taking a back seat to our worldly travels. No worries though, it will be there when we head back to the states in a few years.
