Fave To Save
I've placed my order for my capping equipment and have got a decent amount of glass bottles saved up, mostly just a mix of random pry off bottles I had already been saving because they were unique. But now I'm going to transition away from plastic and focus on glass so I wonder what are your favorite glass bottles to save? What brands do you look to keep and which ones were a bad experience? Be it capping or de-labeling.

When I used a wing capper Sam Adams were my favorite. With my bench capper it really doesnt matter.
Re: Fave To Save
Sam Adam's bottles are also my favorite bottle to cap because the caps go on so easy. But I don't have a favorite to save. I just save any bottle that has a pry off cap.

I use mostly S.A. or New Belgium. I soak the bottles in oxyclean free for a few hours, have not had a problem getting any label to fall off.

With a bench capper it really doesn't matter, as long as it's brown.

All that being said, there are some unique bottles out there.
Anchor: Tear-shaped bottle
Kona Brewing: Hawaiian island imprinted in glass
Odell Brewing: Hops imprinted on glass
Crabbie's Ginger Brew: Unique shape that I like
Red Hook: Unique bottle shape

Definitely like the unique bottles. I've got 6+ of the Kona Big Wave Golden Ale ones but I can't drink it because it gives me allergies. Nothing like blowing your nose while downing a beer. I do like those Red Hook ones too. I used to have a case of Red Stripe because I liked those bottles too but they have disappeared. Maybe for the best since they had painted on labels.

For a lot of painted bottles, soaking them in a solution of StarSan at 2X strength for 3-5 days seems to work.
When I do that I keep it out of the bottle and try to keep it off my hands.
