Beerlabelman's Green Rive IPA

Post by Beer-lord »

"An IPA that gets its name form Credencse Clearwater Revival song . Lots of cascade, Citra, & Mosaic"......need I go on?
Poured with not much head but carbed perfectly. Somewhat cloudy. The aroma has some sour notes to it which I would assume is Citra (cat piss) but it's not something that is negative. Citra is an awesome finish and dry hop IMO, and works well with this beer. Reminds me of an Eel River IPA I had once.

There's an initial tang on the tongue that settles quickly then a smooth finish. Such a crisp beer, perfect for the first day of fall! Crispy front with balanced malt finish.
Not too bitter and when it warms up, the Simcoe hop shines. Finishes semi-sweet. I'm not familiar with Mosaic but based on this beer, I need to get some.

Good job Steve! Keep it going on.

Nothing yet. I set up my pot the night before I brew since I start early and it saves me a few minutes. I'll be brewing Men In Black IPA (CDA) in just a few short minutes. Decided to take the day off and brew. Can't do that too often but do when I can.

Sounds good! I really liked the Simcoe + Mosiac beer I made. I'll do that again sometime.

Wow Beer Lord - thanks for the nice review. I think that beer could be a lot better if I put in a little less of everything. So this past week I did another IPA & toned it down. Hopefully it will be a good one. Send me more of your fine brews & I'll send you some back. Cheers! Beer Label Man. :barman:

Glad to be back. Just haven't been making the time. Too busy with work lately. Plus I have the GABF coming up so I've been practicing drinking beer. Cheers!
