I can neither confirm nor deny that I've used names like that in the past.RickBeer wrote:I use very creative names, puts these guys to shame.
For example, when I first brewed my Moosedrool Clone, I called it... Moosedrool Clone I. When I brew it again I will call it... Moosedrool Clone II.

Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Re: Show me Your Labels
I only ever labeled one bottle, and I had someone design the label for me.
It ended up winning a label contest haha:

Chuck, do you mean like these that we made for my daughters wedding. I'm not that genius, we just did it.Chuck N wrote:Who was the genius that came up with the idea of putting the labels on a card stock and then hanging them around the neck of the bottle by a string? Re: Show me Your Labels
I'm lazy like Dag. I got 1000 round colored stickers and I put a sticker dot on top of each bottle.
Green = DIPA
Brown = ENBA
Red = HCCD
Black = Diablo
Etc, etc, etc. I have a chart hanging on the door of the beer fridge so anyone can check out what I've got in there.
Right now, I have store bought while I rebuild my pipeline.

I've used these: http://laserinkjetlabels.com/polygloss-labels.aspTexas Dan wrote:Are any of you using laser printers for your labels? I find I'm having a problem using an inkjet printer. The ink runs if it get damp or wet and stains the counter tops. That is a bad thing in my house....
They are totally waterproof. You could dip them in water with no running whatsoever. They are a polyvinyl of some sort. Go through on an inkjet no problem.

Re: Show me Your Labels
I use round 3/4 inch adhesive labels (Office Depot item 600-534, Same as Avery 5408) on the top of every bottle cap. I Photoshop some background on these that is similar to the batch's full label described below to make them easier to identify in the cooler. I also Photoshop the batch description and dates over the background graphic.
On bottles that are going "out" I also add labels I create in Photoshop, print with an inkjet printer on plain paper with six to a letter size sheet and attach with a school kid glue stick. I find that the labels come right off when hot water rinsing the outside of the bottle before I rinse the inside on the bottle washer. I used the milk method early on but I found the glue stick less messy, more reliable and easier. I know others have found the milk to be easier. YMMV as they say.
Some of my labels can be seen here...http://www.statsandbrew.com/stats%26brewlabels.html
Edit: Forgot to add that my ink (Epson 2200 Photo Printer) doesn't run when wet but the glue does let go after the paper gets soaked. So, only the label on the cap survives a cooler full of ice and water.

Re: Show me Your Labels
was just checking out beerlabelman's site, but I haven't the slightest clue which model to use. thinking possibly doing up "one-label-fits-all" labels the way Inkleg's got his, where I can just write in the type of beer it is on it. which ones are recommended?
Re: Show me Your Labels
The ones I got from Steve aka Beerlableman are
Item #95R
White Removable Adhesive
4" x 3.33"
6 sheets per label
Hope this helps. You can also shoot him a PM.

Excellent. Thanks, Jeff!
Re: Show me Your Labels
Those are what I use, too (from Steve, too).
I did get a sample in the mail from the link above, just to see how the waterproof ones work. I'm sure Steve has those too, but I'll test and see if I like these or not and then weigh the expense.
The best thing about the labels that Steve sells are that they peel right off if they don't get wet. No soaking required!
I always rinse my bottles with warm water just after pouring and let them sit. Once they warm up to room temp, the labels come right off.

Re: Show me Your Labels
I made some prototype labels.
This is my first attempt at making labels. I made it on beerlabelizer.com, I'm ok with it for this batch, but I'd like to start using their templates that let you upload an image to make something more original and unique.
Only problem is, I have no idea what images to use or where to source them from.

Re: Show me Your Labels
I used to have a bunch of them, but it got to be a pain to remove the labels. I did them on large name tag style labels on my printer but they were a pain to remove. Now I keg I don't label. Here's a couple I found I've not deleted yet, made them for a couple collabs. Nuttin special.
