Crystal Vs. Caramel Malts

Post by JimH »

Is there a difference? I am on Northern Brewer trying to put an order together, and all I can find is Caramel 40, but I was looking for Crystal 40. Is this a case of me being stupid? Different names for same product? Or are they different?

I believe they are the same thing. One company may call it crystal 20 and another company may call it caramel 20.

Thanks for the quick response! That's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to get the wrong stuff.
