Went to Triton Brewing here in Indy tonight and had Railsplitter IPA ( a nice balanced IPA), 500 monks Belgian Strong Ale (awesome!!) Deadeye Stout, and then another Railsplitter when we got home.

My wife had 2 Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ales, and a Stout float.
Triton is a great local brewery. Next week they celebrate 2 years of operation.

A Simcoe APA. A naked cat looked at me out of the fridge, but I am too stuffed with food truck food to drink that. But I think that tomorrow a naked cat may finally emerge from there.

Nothing tonight, I'll be visiting my sister tomorrow and we're hitting a craft brew store near her house. Here's the selection we're considering:

Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat to start, followed by Ommegang Scythe & Sickle Amber or Rogue American Amber.
Then Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout or Nut Brown.
Close with Smuttynose Robust Porter or Founder’s Porter.

I've literally never bought real craft beer at a store, only at a bar or restaurant. She didn't want to go out to dinner, so the compromise was to hit this store near her house:

Big craft brew store.

I'm having a Samuel Smith's Nut Brown right now and I like it. The oatmeal stout is great too so if you're able, try them both. I got a gift box that came with the oatmeal stout, the nut brown and an IPA plus a pint glass all for about $8. If they have that it'd be a good choice.

I am drinking from a case of old old beer. It's a Mr. Beer Whispering Wheat with 1lb of Briess DME and some Tetnanger hops in the boil. It didn't taste good when it was bottled and it didn't taste good a few months later. However it actually tastes decent now. I looked at my batch notes and I brewed it in Febuary of 2010.

Nice! I love finding old beer, seems to me that aging brings out the best in beers.
