Have a question about how to do a BIAB or have a technique that you want to share. Just brew it!

Hopefully

Tried something different today. No Bucs, Rays and Lightning are off today. Been getting about 20 % trub when I do a 4 gal recipe . Tried rinsing wort back over grains after protein rest. Looking at the pre boil I still have floaties, maybe mash/lauter tun in future ?We will see!

Are you just worried about proteins and solids before the boil? Or after, as well? I guess you can always run a filter inline with a siphon into another pot, or if you buy/convert a tun, run a filter inline with the spigot when you empty the wort into the pot.

Don't know if you are doing this already... Re-circulate (vorlauf) the wort till it's not cloudy, boil for 90 minutes, and use Irish moss. These three things should make a big difference.

Rebel, I hand poured back over the grains , and I do a 90 min boil, but , me thinks I need to bbuy a mash tun to do a vorlauf and have a cleaner beer. Just trying a cheaper way !
