Sammy Adams Harvest Collection

Post by berryman »

6 different beers in a 12 pack.
1) Harvest Pumpkin Ale. I never thought a pumpkin beer sounded good, and I read a lot of members like brewing it. This was not bad, I like the cinnamon spice. A nice fall beer,
2) Octoberfest. It's good a lot of malt but with a nice clean lager finish, but when I make an Oktoberfest I want a little more ABV and more head, that's what Oktoberfest is all about, but it is good.
3) Ruby Mild, just a good red.
4) Hazel Brown, that was delish, I like nut browns, I guess I'm going to brew a hazel nut I liked.
5) Latitude 48 IPA, what can I say about this one, very good IPA, if you are really into a strong hopped up IPA, then this one might not meet your expendations, but it is a good IPA.
6) and last in the collection is the SA Boston Lager, SAMs main brew, good beer.
Not trying to promote SA, just my reviews.

Lat 48 is good, I treat myself to a 6'r of it first of Jan when it's minus 20 outside. Good winter warmer-upper. Have not tried the others yet.

I love seasonal mixes. I have Saranac's, and I've bought a Kona mixed.

I decided to pass on the Harvest collection this time but will likely buy the Winter when it comes out. It's the only time I can get Old Fezziwig. That stuff is yummy.

I always enjoy seasonal mixes and SA usually are my favorite. Love SA Nut Brown, really like the Lat 48 and Octoberfest. So far this fall i got the autumn mix a couple of times, ready for the winter mix though.
Also love the SA mixes because I like to reuse thier bottles for my stuff, so win win.
