Post by haerbob3 »

The docs do not want me to cook, no stove, no knifes, no nothing but lay around in LA LA Land and veg!!! So I can't have a nice dinner waiting for her Hating it I am!!!

That sucks, I remember when I had my knee surgery a few years back and I couldn't bare weight on it for 8 weeks! I thought I would shoot myself I was so bored and watching TV all day just sucks the brains right out of you!

As far as dinner, you could make a call and have something delivered, just so she doesn't have to do it when she gets home!

I hope you feel better soon!

Hang in there big guy it is tough but you have to keep a positive attitude and not jump into frustration and anger.

BB2 is going through the process of getting fitted for a new wheelchair right now and it is very difficult because he can only get one every five years but the post polio is attacking his body everyday so the the changes with the new chair are trying to do immediately what took a long time to occur and it is very uncomfortable, sudden, and painful at the moment.

People get frustrated and then angry because your body does not recognize that change/adjustment takes time, that is a survival response so your care providers have to keep your brain working on the patience part while you fight through the initial rejection of something that is a more long term remedy.

I hope that makes sense during this very frustrating time. There is a tendency to lash out at the people who are trying to help. You have to understand that they will never be able to completely get inside what is happening to YOU but they are trying to get as close as possible because they want to help.

Brewbirds is rooting for you.

Thanks for the support Guys!!Image

Wifey just got home went straight to bed. She has to get up a 3am to take care of a breakfast then later finish the desserts for a
250 adult/child 300 Bat Mitzvah. Wonder what this is going be like that started last Sunday redoing/decorating the club. Last week there were 2 conveyer belt bringing out the food. Something like in a sushi joint each one cost $15,000. Rambling again ehh Roberto!!

Anyway I feel so guilty for not being there and doing my job. The way I acted at the hospital last Sunday. Wish I'd pass out before getting to that point!!!

I can relate completely. I am discovering what it is like to be completely helpless. Everyday movements I have taken for granted have become daunting challenges. Such as getting a gallon of juice out of the fridge and pouring it. I dont know where I would be without a wonderful daughter with strong mother hen instincts.

Ya might be getting bored and tired of doing no work, but if you are not up to it, it could make u worse and end up taking you out of work even longer. Do what you need to do to get well, don't push it.

I understand how ya'll feel. Just let thyself heal first . When my heart gave out last year I tried to keep my mind working . Puzzles , books, anything to keep from being bored . At least I had my youngest 2 daughters at home to keep me company.

Dang that sucks. I'm taking off work today for a minor knee injury so I'll be home all day. No ingredients here to brew with so I'll be flipping between here and facebook. Gonna hang out in the tap room too, if you wanna chat and kill time. I'd love to pick your brain about some Belgian brews.
