I just saw this stainless steel bucket with a conical bottom for $175, plus they have another conical for $395.

That does look interesting, and the price isn't too bad at $175. I wonder how long it would take to get one since they are sold out!

The size seems decent too. Not too huge. My biggest concern with conicals is temp control. This bucket would prob fit in my chest freezer or my cool brewing bag.

I'm wondering what would be the benefit of this fermentor over the bucket ones I have now? Would the spigot act as a trub dump? Or could you bottle straight from this bucket, since you can rotate the pickup tube on the inside? I am interested in getting this

Yes that's it. Better Bottle also makes a racking adaptor where you can move the spigot above the trub line. It works well, but the conical shape of this bucket at the bottom is even better.
