New (to this board) guy

Take a minute to introduce yourself to the Borg and tell us what's brewing. You can ask questions here too!

Boe1971 wrote:Hi all, I used to frequent the Mr beer forums for a few years. I took a break from brewing over the Spring and Summer. You know how it is... life, work, the wife and house. All those things conspire to steal away your precious time. But any how, I recently fired up the old brew pot again and I have been brewing like crazy for the last several weeks. Just bottled my very first hefe a couple days ago and man did it taste good. I usually like pale ales and IPAs but my wife has recently taught me to enjoy the occasional hefe so i had to try to make one. Anyway, just wanted to stop in and see how many folks from the old board have migrated over to here. And while I'm on the subject of the old board... what the Hell happened over there. It looks very different. To be honest I didn't like it at all. there's a different vibe from what I was used to.
My wife is a HEFE gal too. She's not fond of the hoppy bitterness I crave. PRoblem is, I don't want to brew 5 gals of hefe since it's more than she needs and I really don't have a good hefe recipe for a small batch but I did use a mix of mr beer and some grain last time and it wasn't bad.

What happened was, they implimented a new "program" that sucked about as much as the "Affordable Health Care Program". Needless to say, we didn't buy it. So most of us came over here where common sence (ha ha ha...yeah, right) runs amuck.
The Nong Brewery defines "Fermentation" as: Making "Rot" a Good Thing

:borg: Welcome to the BeerBorg Information Center. You will be assimilated. Resistance is Quite Futile: WE have BEER.
