Simple, yet fruiti
Surf'n during the FB games, reading this http://byo.com/american-pale-ale/item/2 ... y-pale-ale it looks like an easy batch. I see lots of ya'll talk'n bout fruit brews, this should be up your alley. Anyone tried this recipe? How was it, actually looks tastey.

Looking at that recipe, I wonder...
It calls for 6.6 lb. (3.0 kg) Briess Golden light liquid malt extract, I have sparkling amber. I have never used this DME, bought if for another recipe and never did it. How close is the sparkling to this, can I use it in place of this LME, is is it a totally different critter that would give me a very bad brew? Perhaps I should have not had this many brewskis this early in the day... LOL

You'd get good beer still using that. I'd do it if you were wanting to use it for something. I'd just leave out the crystal, since the sparkling amber already has some 60L in it and also some Munich, so it will have enough malty/sweet going on without it.
That makes it even an easier beer to brew.
It might even be a better brew. Munich makes anything better.

That does look good. I'm just now starting to play around with fruit flavored beer, and this one sounds nice. But does anyone else think the optional fruit puree should be 1.4 kg instead of 1.4 grams?
