Mr. Beer Domain For Sale
Unbelievable. Went to check the MrB forums and come to find out their domain name has expired and it is now up for bids. I mean, if they are purposely trying to go out of business why not just sell the HMEs for a buck a pop. Whoever is running their IT department ought to be fired as it is unexcusable not to have a corporate domain on some type of autorenewal program.

Interesting. I was there earlier this am and was checking out the growlers, but now I am just getting a blank page.
Re: Mr. Beer Domain For Sale
I get a page where I can place a bid to buy their domain starting at $69. I was half tempted to put in an offer for it. Just in time for Christmas shopping.Beer-lord wrote:I haven't been on in weeks but just checked and found out they will be selling growlers but had no problem logging on. Can you not log on?

The domain is registered to Catalina Products, and doesn't expire until 10/9/16. They MAY have changed servers and the pointers weren't right, which is why it came back so fast. Just a guess.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

I'm seeing the mr. beer frontpage, but no images loading.
I'm guessing that they are now switching over to that fantastic new e-business site, that was the reason they changed forum software.
Remember all, we're going to be so impressed that the forum downgrade will now look like a brilliant idea.

Boy it just gets worse and worse. Sent Peter a note to let him know that his website is down and the first response was "what website?" So I went and pointed out the obvious and told him he may want to park it if they are doing an upgrade rather than showing a page with a link to Norther Brewer. Turns out they didnt even know it was down. So, has traffic went to next to nothing they they havent even noticed that absolutely no orders were coming in?
It really would be funny if it just wasnt so painful to watch....

It's just amazing to me how messed up they are with handling their web property! At lot of people when they see that just will never return. This is just bleeding money for them!

Both http://www.mrbeer.com and http://community.mrbeer.com seem to be fine from here...
Could have been a burp at their ISP or maybe they were re-booting servers...
In any case, looks like Peter got to the bottom of it...

The site appears to be back up! Someone must have tripped over and unplugged the PC they're using to host the site!BigPapaG wrote:Both http://www.mrbeer.com and http://community.mrbeer.com seem to be fine from here...
