Corados is about 20 minutes from me. Not a big fan though. In my short brewing career I've found their selection kind of hit or miss, and pricey. I do work in Clifton quite a bit so it's convenient.
I'm guessing you pretty much never use LME but if you do make sure you check expiration dates there - their entire stock - is All WELL past the expiration date (1 year +).
There is a place in Boonton Nj called Cask and Kettle that is awesome, And probbly not that much farther. You'd have to shoot down 287 instead of the parkway. It's basically where 80 meets 287. 45 minutes from me if I hit traffic right. Nice staff and the place is fully loaded, bins upon bins of malts. Definitely worth the extra drive time IMHO.
Another place is Mistucky Creek in Warwick NY. That's supposed to be good too but is over an hour from me. I do have to meet with a client who lives on Upper Greenwood Lake this Thursday so I'm gonna hop across the border and check it out.

Re: How far away is your LHBS?
I'll check it out some time. I have been disappointed from time to time with Corrado's selections. I seem to get Swen'd on hops and even some grains I'm interested in, and it's happened more than once. In fairness, they do seem to cater more to wine-making enthusiasts. But I just told SWMBO about it, and she mentioned how I've said more than once that Corrado's didn't have what I wanted (and it's not specialty stuff, either, it's things like Hallertau - how do you run out of Hallertau??!!). And, y'know, it's your business; you ought to have stuff.
So if Cask and Kettle isn't too much more of a drive for me (and it looks like pretty rapid highway driving all the way), I might switch my allegience.
Thanks for the tip!

I will have to check out Cask and Kettle. Booton is not that far from me. I have nothing but good things to say about Love2Brew so far.

Depends on which one I want to go to. Maryland Homebrew is about 12miles/20 minutes away and Annapolis Homebrew is 17miles/25 minutes the other way. I prefer MDHB as they're more personable, but Annapolis has more grains and toys in their shop.

Pretty funny! I'm not sure if they sell that beer that is mentioned in the video. (Karps beer)

I am very lucky. I have 3 within 30 minutes of my house although all very different. 5 min from my work is a Homebrew Emporium, 1 of a chain of 4. Not a big store but a pretty good selection of items and very friendly and knowledgeable. Strange Brew claims to be the largest LBHS in New England, huge selection but very expensive. I actually buy a lot from Rebel Brewer on line with great success. Great prices, great selection, quick to ship, and offer shipping for free on occasion with a minimum order. Bad thing is with the 5 minute store is I'm their to often. Oh well not a bad thing! CHEERS!
