Last night I watched Pacific Rim. To me this movie was like the old Godzilla movies with some Transformers technology mixed in. It did have an interesting plot but employed a lot of silliness seasoned with cheesiness with more than a dash of predictability along the way. However this movie did have a lot of action, albeit Godzilla vs Rodan like action with better special effects, which made it fun to watch. Overall it is worth the price of a red box rental as long as you wait until your 3rd beer to begin watching it.
It paired well with my White Wheat Hoppimania.

I like the idea of pairing beer with movies. You have to be careful though. Initially, it's tempting to go high ABV when compelled to watch a chick flick. But think of what you might say, and the consequences thereof.
I watched most of Rocky Horror yesterday (Halloween), completely sober. But then, I was often the only sober one watching it in '79.

Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.

Re: Pacific Rim
I've heard Pacific Rim was a bomb trying to be a Transformer type movie though I've not seen it.
I love Rocky Horror and any homebrew goes well with it.

I guess this is a little of a hi-jack, but....If your talking about pairing beers with movies.......Ya can't beat the Scarface Shuffle. A shot of beer for every time they say the "F" word. I tried it a few times in college and never finished watching the movie. Talk about trashed, WOW!!!
Sorry for the hi-jack....

Never seen rocky horror, gonna have to once, some day. Pacific Rim, well, it was too predictable. Bang-bang, transformer wins.
Life is short, live it to it's fullest!
