Stone beers and my wife

Post by Kealia »

I came home last night from a friend's house last night to find that my wife had picked this up for me earlier in the day:

Best. Wife. Ever.
Image

It's fairly new and includes:
3 Levitation
3 IPA
3 Ruination IPA
3 Oaked Arrogant Bastard

I've never had the OAB, but even if I don't like them, the rest is awesome!

But don't worry, she's not perfect: They weren't chilled when I got there. :laugh

Great score.
I love all the Bastards but and it's a bit more bitter than the regular one. I have 2 in the fridge I was holding.
Just realized these are only available in Cali or online....Bummer!

So, what are you going to get the wife?

She gets the gift of me, silly.

Or maybe I will surprise her and shave my legs like Jeff does :o

Since Stone has been talked about all over the Borg lately I have to ask if you have trained her well or if she checks in here to see what you've been talking about?

I'm always standing in the beer aisle wondering if BB2 would be happy that I bought him some craft beer or fuss that I spent the money.

No, she doesn't read this nor even know what the name of this place is. I'm lucky enough to say that she takes enough of an interest in my hobbies to understand things at a high level and know what I like and what I don't. I think she saw a friend of mine post the 12-pack on FB the other day and she knows that I took the visit to the Stone Brewery a few months ago....voila.

She's a keeper.

Oooo!

Very nice.

In spite of the fact that SWMBO is responsible for starting me on this Grand Obsession by buying me a Mr. Beer kit one Christmas, she doesn't buy beer. She doesn't drink any alcohol, and has a strange aversion to buying it, on principle, I guess. But she probably wouldn't know what I might like, anyway, so she just leaves the beer purchases to me.

She's very supportive of my brewing; she just prefers to leave all things beer in my wheelhouse.

You lucky HoB(Home Brewer). I've never had a gift bring a tear to my eye but that there might be the gift that could do it.
