New Posting Feature: Spoilers!

Post by LouieMacGoo »

Thats right! Many of you may remember the spoiler feature on the other forum. I have created a version of for the BeerBorg!

There is now a button available on the posting tab called spoiler= clicking on this button will populate the text box with the following code:

Code: Select all

[spoiler=][/spoiler]
You can then name the spoiler whatever you want to call it.

Example:

Code: Select all

[spoiler=Brew List]Add the text here that you want to have hidden within the spoiler. [/spoiler]
You can also add this same code to your "Signature" so you can hide/show your pipeline or list of homebrews you have! (See my Signature Below)

Wait a minute. Shouldn't you not spoil things by hiding this announcement? Isn't the announcement of the Spoiler feature in fact a spoiler in itself?

Thanks Louie, already implemented on my sig!

I don't think they're capable any longer.

Basically anything that you don't want people to see right away. Some people put a photo behind the spoiler tag but most use it to hide their long list of what they are brewing or have brewed as you can see in my signature below.

The old Mr. B forum had this feature and this works the same. :cool:

Anything you don't want showing all the time. Most use it for their brew list, because while we may want to take a look at it, seeing it on every post gets monotonous and takes up space on the page.

Others, like some of the old guys, may put other things in the spoiler area, so be careful you don't just click on it...

Here's a use for spoilers that isn't a beer list.
