over carbonation

Yes BrewDemon and Mr. Beer kits are pretty darn easy but sometime you need a little help from the Borg to get you on the right track. Post your questions here!

over carbonation

Post by astrobeerman »

I made a batch of brew that is overcarbonated. I bottle primed. May have over did it. I usually batch prime, but the bre is definetly over carbed. If I open the brew I wanna drink and let it sit, will that help? Or do it open and reprime?

They taste great, its just the carbination is over powering......

Thanks for help

Unless it just foams out of the bottle once opened - open it up some hours before your ready to drink it and just leave it sit in the fridge opened. Even the day before with the cap on loosely, depending on just how much it's overcarbed. If you experiment you will find the right amount of time.
