They are good, taste mostly like pecan pie but with a slight bacon hint and some dark chocolate beer flavor from the stout.
Having made it I will give a few tips, use a few extra pieces of bacon (always good advice) and make sure to line the pan well, some of the filling got under the crust and caramelized making the bottom of the crust rock hard in a few places. Also i would use more beer and let it reduce further
Will make again using the knowledge from the first batch to make them better I also accidentally added twice as much cream so they took longer to thicken up in the oven.
