Re: 2013 in review........
17 gals brewed so far this year, I've also have entered two competitions, but I'm not happy with the amount brewed and buying way to much commercial brews. Would like to change that in the coming year, but it doesn't look promising due to my crazy work schedule, and some health problems. The good part has been this new site and alot of great folks to talk about and share beer with.
Re: 2013 in review........
I hadn't done the math until now, but I knew it had been a slow year. 20.5 gallons is all I'm at this year. I likely will do a couple more Mr. B sized batches, so I might hit 25ish by year's end (or maybe I'll get to 27.5 or so if I'm ambitious). That's down from nearly 50 gallons in '11 and and 39ish in '12. Of course, I'm very beer-heavy right now (in my conditioning closet and beer fridge... well, probably on my waist as well, but I was referring to in the bottle...), so I purposefully didn't brew for half of this year. Regardless, I've had some decent to great beer I've brewed, a bunch of great beers in swaps with people here and otherwise, and some great local brewery produced beers. Thus, it's been a good beer year...

Well, I brewed 55 gallons so far this year, but I think 18 of them sucked!

Brewed >100 gallons so far. Giving away & trading more beers than ever. I've also scaled back on my tavern and brewery/brewpub sampling this year; but have scaled up my homebrew club and co-worker's beer sampling.

I knew I found a hair in one of the beers Jeff sent me. I knew it couldn't have come from his cat but now I know things I shouldn't know.

Re: 2013 in review........
A down year in 2013. Started off like gangbusters outta the gate but faded hard down the stretch. Around 25 gallons +/-. Time spent on the forums is way down as well. Thinking back, the crash at MB may have played a roll in all beer related issues. However my BIAB techniques defenitely improved and I brewed some new styles thanks to the RCEs. So not all was lost. I lost 2 family members and received horrible news of a 3rd. Lost a childhood friend due to an addiction and lost a really cool hamster. R.I.P. to those. Despite those losses, 2 of my cousins had babies, I gained a brother in law and I got a dog. So Im thinking I had to have come out on top. Looking forward to closing out the year with some holiday get togethers with friends and family.

Re: 2013 in review........
I lost track of exactly how much I've brewed so far. I was only tracking it through the thread on the MB board. Before the summer hiatus, I think it was around 80 or so gallons. Add another 15 or 20 since Labor Day.
All I know is I still have more empty bottles than full ones right now. And to think, earlier in the year, I actually had to buy a case of empties at the LHBS to take care of things....

Re: 2013 in review........
While it's interesting to me to see what people are brewing, quantity is less so, because it's largely based on how much one drinks. If you drink 6 beers a day, you need to brew a lot more than someone who drinks 6 beers a week. As we learned on a previous thread, there are some that drink quite a bit per day, and others (like myself) that maybe drink 4 beers a week. I brew for selection, not quantity.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...
