Equipment score from CL

Although you don't need a mash ton or other things to do BIAB, you still need the right sfuff to brew it right!

Next time I go hunting on CL it will be for a kegging setup.Probably early January. Figure that is the next logical step after starting 5 gallon batches.

I've been watchin craigslist since I started brewing several years ago and have seen one home brew item on it. It was overpriced. Your a lucky guy to find stuff like that.

He was asking $60 but it had been up a few It initially had a wort chiller included for $60 but he sold it separately. I offered $30 and he took it which surprised me.

Question about the 6.5 gallon carboy;

For 5 gal batches; is that to much headroom? Or is there no such thing?

it is ok, and yes there is. wouldn't put a lbk sized batch in there. may even be too much head space for a 4 gal. batch.

That is a great score. :banana:
CL Austin often has a ton of brew gear listed. I guess it depends on where you live re: if there is a large home brewing population in the area.
I've gotten stuff from people who were moving and people who just quit brewing in both cases the prices are usually very good.
