This is a highly-hopped lager from Sam Adams, and the main reason I bought the Hop Tour six-pack.
The color is a rich, clear amber, and the head is thick and snowy white, giving off an aroma of what I took to be Centennial hops; pungent, piney, strong, but not too strong. A forward, but well-balanced aroma. Very enticing.
It's got a good maltiness and mouthfeel, and it's smooth and mellow, as a lager should be. But the hops makes its presence known while not being intrusive or over-the-top. I'd like to say it's well-balanced, but it's really more hop-forward than that. Very pleasant as an after-dinner beer. The finish keeps the bitterness lingering, which invites another.
