Those are what I use. They are nice and light and easy to clean. Love the built in spigot.

Wife and I went and seen Charlie Daniels last night, it has been around 35 years since the last time I seen him live in concert. That old guy can still put on a show I tell you. He is truly a great performer and a down to earth real person. I really enjoyed it.

I had to go to the supermarket this evening for some stuff we need for Thanksgiving, and a London Broil for when our daughter comes up Wednesday. So, hey, why not check out the beer selection and get a six-pack?

Well, I was really tempted by the Lagunitas Li'l Sumpin' Sumpin'. I've had it before, and enjoyed it very much. But then I saw the Sam Adams Hop Tour Six Pack. Two bottles each of Latitude 48 IPA, Double Agent IPL (an IPA lager -- interesting concept!), and Whitewater IPA (a
Belgian wheat-inspired IPA). So I decided on variety and got the Sam Adams. I've had the Latitude 48, and liked it a lot. I may have had the Whitewater, although I don't remember.

I'll see about posting reviews in the appropriate forum.

Nice choice, Dave! The IPL is amazing. In fact, that was the beer I first tried on my adventures into IPAs. And it delivers! Haven't tried the Whitewater is new to me, I look forward to a review from The Hat! :fedora:

Got my monthly email from Coopers today. It came with a link to a recipe for Steam Beer/California Common. I may just try this one.

I bought a 40qt stock pot from FoodServiceWarehouse.com a wee bit ago. Not happy.
I found out that 40 quarts really means 36 quarts to the top leaving the pot only 28~32 quart usable.
I am working with them now to determine the next step.
I think it's about time that people start listing the "usable" volume of their products as well.
Otherwise, I can start selling gas cans as 60 gallon units that hold 2 gallons... if you can name it anyway you want that is...

Not only that but on a lot of them the measuring marks are off. Makes building recipes in a brew software a bit hard on the newbs.

Pay for it with a check that's only 80% of what you actually owe, and include a letter that tells them it's really 100%.

They'll understand.

Daughter and her fella have been visiting for the Thanksgiving weekend. They arrived Wednesday, had T-giving dinner with everyone, had a wedding in New Jersey Friday evening, and her 10 year HS Reunion last night. In between we've just been chillin' and taking it easy, and watching a little football (well, us guys were, anyway). And SWMBO is always glad to have her daughter back in the house, if for no other reason than she just gets tired of the testosterone overload from me and the bhoy-o. She really liked going out and getting mani-pedis with her girl.

They're leaving today to go back to NYC. I still don't know if they're taking the train or if I'm acting as chauffeur. Don't matter none to me either way. If not, then I get to stay home. If so, I get to buy a sixer of craft beer at the bodega across the street from them.

It's been a real nice weekend.

Got to meet my new doctor today...well, the sun was on this side of the planet anyway.
He's not happy with me.
He asked what kind of exercise I got.
I told him: "I get out of bed, make my way to the couch, and then, make my way back to bed."
He wasn't impressed.
Then he asked if I used tobacco or alcohol.
Told him I don't smoke. The wife didn't like it.
But I do drink home made beer.
He asked how much did I drink.
I told him 1 to 6 per night depending on how bored I was.
He asked me how much I thought I should be drinking a night.
I said: Two.
He said that was a good answer.
After he left the room, I told the nurse I'll just get a bigger glass.
But then, I guess that explains why I gained weight.
