Re: More Beer Kits
Many times I've thought about ordering their kits and never have since I can save a good deal buying locally.
But, I've bought a number of other things from them and their customer service is greet, even absenting an email in a Sunday when closed.
If you decide to get these kits, please share your thoughts. I've read they're darn good.

Re: More Beer Kits
I have not tried either of those, but I've been pleased with other kits I picked up from them in the past.
Re: More Beer Kits
+1 to using MoreBeer (but also have never bought a kit from them).
Re: More Beer Kits
We were looking at using More Beer after our LHBS issues but BB2 says that shipping costs are killer.
I don't generally like buying kits since they are five gal. if the grain bill is mixed together but if the kits save any money I might get BB2 to consider it.
It seems that many of you have bought other stuff from them before and like them compared to other suppliers where the order would have to be shipped?

Re: More Beer Kits
BB's They have a free shipping option. I have upped the shipping from them and it has been $5 or $6 for the hardware I have gotten from them.
I generally do not buy kits. I have bought a few this year to see how these new to me styles are put together. I usually have a sack of pils & pale malt lying around, plus a pound or two of various hops in the freezer. With brewing sours being totally new to me having a kit that has everything in it would be nice. Think it is time to get some new fermenting buckets and use the old ones for the sours. Some O2 getting thru the buckets would be a good thing with these types of beers I think.

Re: More Beer Kits
If you buy $59 worth of stuff from MoreBeer almost anything ships free. That (and how good of a quality it is) is why I buy most of my bulk Pilsner extract from them.
Re: More Beer Kits
I just got their catalog in the mail. I like it, but I don't need anything right now.
