Upcoming dues changes at AHA

Post by FedoraDave »

I received an email from AHA announcing a slight increase in dues in 2014. It's only five dollars increase for a one-year membership, and they haven't raised their dues in 12 years, so this is really quite reasonable in all respects.

But by joining or renewing prior to January 1, 2014, you will not be subject to this increase.

In other words, JOIN OR RENEW NOW!!

I encourage all homebrewers to have membership in the AHA. They work to preserve and expand our rights as homebrewers, and they have clout. They have already achieved many good things on our behalf, and they will continue their efforts. They deserve our support.

This has been a Public Service Announcement by the Philanthropic Counsel to Make Things Nicer.

Got the same email today. Can't say I blame them with the prices of everything going up.

They have had this posted on their website for a couple of months. I will just wait and pay the extra $5 to renew mine. The money is for a good cause.

It's not a huge chunk, fer crine out loud. And they haven't raised their dues since 2001. Name something that hasn't gone up in price since 2001. Considering their powerful advocacy for homebrewers across the USA, they deserve our support.

I'm a member and will renew every year regardless of price.

I will also make a donation to Leigh, in August of each year(my sign up date) for keeping this place running for us.

Thank you Andre! I really appreciate it!

If and when you do renew your AHA membership please use the Membership link here and from the banners and a portion of your membership will come back to the BeerBorg! It would be greatly appreciated!
