Re: Winter Pics
I love cross country skiing. So I'll go with yer wife and you can stay home and be toasty and drink beer. Then when I bring her home in one piece you can give me a beer. I've been out 3 times this year between some snow and melting. Did some ski biathlon (with bows) last time, although it was a bit sketchy, not really enough snow to do it well.
I'll post more pics when I get them. Right now we are in the "blah" between fall and real winter. Rain/slush/melt/mud/60 one day, 37 and raining the next... then 30 and snow but next day rain... but maybe some snow again soon, so maybe I can ski again soon.

Re: Winter Pics
Winter pics look great! Since it's 85 and sunny here in FL, I will spare you a picture of me mowing the lawn. I am originally from WI, and I dearly miss having a Winter, or a Fall... or a Spring for that matter.

Ya'll are funny! 80s.... ROFLMAO Weather service shows its at minus 5 here, the house thermometer shows it's -10 outside. It's mounted on back side of house where the sun don't hit it, when it does shine once a week... LOL
Looks like that storm crossing the US is doing some serious damage, turning roads into skating rinks, breaking trees, etc. Some of ya'll will be joining us with the snow/ice, if you haven't already!
Was going to take some more pics outside but it's just too darn cold. I'm a wuss today.

Send me a beer and I'll send you a picture of the large, - sometimes - warm, bright orb in the sky that the rest of us call the Sun.
FIT,
Us North Landers have to learn to embrace the cold. After all; It is the reason we live so much longer than the rest of the country. We spend half of our lives partially frozen. It "preserves" us.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

I like your thinking Chuck! Also I love how you live in the land of 10,000 casseroles, most people have no clue what a casserole or hot-dish is even.

Tater-Tot Hot-Dish or Tuna Casserole are some of my favorites, never had a pheasant casserole, did have deep-fried grouse once (dad shot it with his bow out the kitchen window), super good
