Best of luck with a speedy recovery! I am sure you could find someone to brew with/for you, lots of time to plan recipes and drink craft beer otherwise!

Sorry to hear about your left wing. Hope you're not grounded for too long. I agree w/ Joe. Great opportunity to teach someone or just have fun if you know anyone interested. Get well soon!

Thanks for all the kind words from my Borg family, you guys are the greatest.

Once I find the rigid splint the Doc wants me to wear I am hoping I will be able to things that I can't with this wimpy store bought one that doesn't have enough wrist restraint in it.

Going to have to try bottling, pain or not, today because I have a Galaxy IPA in the fridge. Mostly worried about dropping the LBK as with brewing worried about transferring from kettle to LBK and moving it to a cooler without dropping it.

The Doc has me rubbing the area with an ice cube for a minimum of 5 minutes about four times a day and no words can describe how painful that is I would scream like a girl if I didn't bite down on my sleeve.

@RickBeer if it gets to where I can't type for a while I trust you'll continue to give 'em hell for me.

Those that can... BREW ON and for those that can't I know how it feels.

Really sorry to hear about this BB. I wish you a speedy recovery, and then hopefully you can get back to brewing.

And as far as your question, I don't think there is a problem someone else brewing for you. You can't sell homebrew, I think is the only restriction, if you get what I am saying ;)

Best wishes on your recovery!

Wow thanks Swen that is very kind of you to offer. You have no idea how sad it is to see all my fermenters lined up empty in the beer closet while the bottles dwindle from previous batches. :(

I can now see that there might be physiological advantage to kegging because you don't actually watch the supply dwindle.

I managed to get the Galaxy IPA bottled but I did slosh it pretty good trying to get it from the fridge up onto the counter top so I had to let it settle for a while before proceeding.

If anyone has not tried a Galaxy hops IPA yet I highly recommend giving it a try. This was by far the best aroma I've had on a bottling day and the taste, though obviously flat was what?...deliciously intriguing. I know I will be sad to have emptied the last bottle of this one more than others and it has only been in the beer closet for an hour or so.

I will get mommy preachy hat on here for all my brew beloveds and admonish you to treat your dominate wing ( :p ) with utmost care and caution because this is a major pain in the pecking order ( :p ) of which chores I can do and how hard I have to scratch about ( :p ) to get them done. So don't go getting all reckless or over daring and spraining, twisting, wrenching or breaking your brew necessities because I warn it is even hard to use a manual bottle opener and lift a pint glass. :wow: :p

To you all I say :urock:

And don't think for a minute that you and Gymrat weren't on my mind since you guys couldn't brew for a while.

I don't consider my problem near as serious as either of yours as long as what the doc said was right and I don't need surgery.

Oh and I forgot to tell you guys this; poor BB2 I couldn't resist teasing him a bit: it identified as a common ailment way back in history and called "washer women syndrome".

So you all know that I am a spinster and an old maid as far as Old England id concerned. (that ought to give RB some fodder even if JC won't jump in with a quip) :D

That's too bad, Birdie. I hope you recover quickly, and don't suffer too much in the interim. As for brewing, why does it have to be a local homebrewer? You could instruct just about anyone in basic techniques.

My friend and neighbor's son in law is in the local club and is also trying to open a micro with his brother and a buddy. I was just thinking out loud about it because if we bought the ingredients they would be able to brew a much larger batch size than we do of say BB2's Alt or ESB recipe. Also on his list is a brew he tasted at the club's picnic and got the recipe for so maybe we could get that brewed by the member.

The idea was that it would keep the pipeline loaded but would still be one of BB2's next batches.

The pipeline is okay for now and we don't drink a lot of beer in winter unless we are watching football, like today. :barman:

I'll get the new splint and see what I can do with that on then consider the shot if it shortens healing time.

Right now it is just so awkward trying to do anything I'm frustrated.

BB just do not like hearing that this club has another member. I have been there with messed wings. No fun at all. Having your wrist in a cast is one of the worst things to go thru.
