SCORE

Post by Gymrat »

Since the weather turned cold I have been doing my distance walking at the mall. I have been passing this everyday and fighting the urge to buy it. As much as I wanted it I thought it would be a waste to pay $25 for something I would probably never use. Today there was only 1 left and I just couldn't stand it anymore. I reasoned to myself that if nothing else I could display it in the mancave as part of my "pub" decor.

But the more I look at it the more I would like to have some guys over to play it. A person could always set a timer at an hour or two, then whoever has acquired the most in that amount of time wins. That way it wouldn't be something that goes on all day long. It is really cool, you purchase pubs and brewery's instead of properties. When someone lands on it they pay so many times the roll of their dice in bar tabs instead of rent. You draw cards that make you pick up someone's tab or a number of other things. You buy beer barrels instead of houses. The barrels are made of wood rather than plastic. The implements are various colors of bottles. And each title deed has information on the back about the brewery it represents. All of the breweries are ones currently in existence.

That is cool, and even only if used for decor as you said. I do think if you play it though, there should be a lot of beer involved and a timer is a good idea for both reasons. :)

Maybe associate one of your homebrews to each of the breweries and once someone has paid his rent, he gets to drink one.

put a card good for 1 HB in the middle. so when you land on, what ever passes for "free parking", you get a brew!

You all are welcome anytime. I have been looking through this game and there actually are some references to home brewing in it. Damn this thing is cool.
