Just bottled my first Bourbon Barrel Pale Ale. I used NWPA as a base, added 1 lb of amber DME, Mosaic and Amarillo hops. Soaked 1 oz of oak cubes in 44 oz of Jim Beam for 2 weeks then added to the last week of fermentation. Tasted good at bottling. Not as much bourbon flavor as my Bourbon Barrel Porter, but good none the less. Can't wait to taste again in 4 weeks.

I brewed a 2.5 gallon batch of "Frankenbière De Garde" using the Summer Seasonal Saison can I got for $12.50, some 75L, some 45L candi syrup, and some Munich extract and some T-58 which will ferment cold and be relatively "clean" because of this. Saving the saison yeast that came with it for Summer brewing.

My brew schedule has gotten a bit wonky with the holidays, but today is bottling day for my Imperial IPA (first attempt). Sample tasted promising! :mug:

Did up a Dad's Cream Ale recipe today. Hoping it comes out as good as the old pre-buyout recipe. Was one I really enjoyed.

I Brewed a Liberty Cream Ale today http://www.midwestsupplies.com/liberty-cream-ale.html
I haven't brewed a 5 gal batch since last April but I did brew a MB seasonal in Aug. I chose this one to start back with because of the simple hop boil. Things went good and am using my new 6 gal fermenter. Tomorrow I'm doing a Cream Stout and will split it in 2 LBK's. Will be brewing another 5 gal batch next weekend and I won't rest until all my fermentation vessels are full. It's great to be back in the saddle again. :woot:

Just got done and cleaned up after brewing a Cream Stout http://www.midwestsupplies.com/cream-stout-kit.html Split this one in 2 LBK's on the Q, A pack of S-04 in each. I've brewed this one before and I like it. I like splitting a 5 gal batch in 2 LBK's as long as they are lower gravity brews, They are easy to handle.

brewed an American Wheat today. used falconer's flight for flavor and aroma boils

Pipeline is good, no worries there.

Nothing brewing as SWMBO and I have a deal...
No brewing during the holiday season...

Except for lagering as the basement brew cellar is running about 52*F right now...
Got a fridge for the cold lagering, then everything goes to cellar temp until it's ready.

(Will probably sneak in a mead after Christmas and let it ride out the year down there)

And will pitch a lager or two in early January. :p

Going to be bottling my "Let It Be" English Brown Ale when I get back from church. Next weekend I think I'm going to brew up an IPA. But I don't have a recipe or ingredients yet. I better get to it!
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
