Do I need a Blow off Tube ? !!!
I' m 24 hours into my IPA brew and this is what my air lock is doing.
It is a 1.4 gallon brew in a 2 gallon bucket. I've never used an airlock before and don't know if this is normal activity or if I should put a blow off tube on before it explodes.
I'm using Notty for the yeast.

You should probably rig a blow-off. But a couple of my batches have overflowed the airlock, and I just cleaned it up.

Never mind, there it is.

I'm with John... You should probably rig a blowoff solution...
If your airlock clogs up (and they do!), you could have a mess on your hands...
Notty is pretty aggressive so it could get more active before settling down...

I cleaned the airlock and the fermentation is slowing down. I think I'm going to be fine.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Yeah, I was nervous that It would blow!
I think this brew is done fermenting already. I read that Nottingham can finish in 4 days . I took a reading about an hour ago and it was 1.010. That's lower than estimated OG. It's been only 5 days.
I'll check again in two days.
