Just got home with a SA Winter Pack. Just opened a Winter Lager, Nice color and smell. Nice hints of spice flavor.

Was drinking out of a SA winter variety pack, then I got interrupted by the UPS guy that dropped me off a package from my secret santa, now I'm drinking Dogfish Head 90 min. and I like that beer.

HAHA....Yes, it was sour but I was expecting more of a sour punch up front and more sour. Do you have and recommendations?mashani wrote:Assimilated. I particularly love Sea Dog's Apricot Wheat. There's a Sea Dog brewpub out here in Orlando that has great food and of course all of their beers on tap. Always a good time.DirtRacer wrote:Had a Sea Dog Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale earlier. Good stuff.

Temptation by Russian River Brewing Company is a great sour/wild ale if you can find it, personally one of my favorites and it was my first intro to sours. Sour in the Rye by The Bruery is really good. The Stony Brook Red by Sam Adams is decent, Flemish Red "Marea Roja" by Cismontane is pretty good. The Sam Adams and Cismontane pretty mild "sour" wise so those are not recommended for a "sour punch". Petrus aged red is good too.

Drank a Coronado Coffee Stout last night - Delicious
Also drank another of my Drunkin Pumpkin 2013 - It taste much better than the one I drank last week. Still not great but better. Maybe moving into the "decent" realm.

Don't think I ever saw the stuff in California but have been lucky to find it occasionally here in Texas. Will keep an eye out for more from them. And for tonight I had straight bourbon.philm00x wrote:I particularly love Sea Dog's Apricot Wheat.
