Whew!
Had a busy morning in the brauhaus. I racked my fiver of Crown Top Pale Ale to a secondary, then bottled an LBK batch (Midwinter Wheat). I wasn't going to wash the yeast in the fiver, but as it was racking, I kept looking at the trub and thinking, "There's some fine stratification there. Lots of good yeast. Be a shame to dump it down the drain." So I washed the yeast. Got five vials out of it, which will serve me well in the future.
I also had the sad chore of dumping an entire case of beer due to it being a gusher. This should be the last gusher batch, though, unless there was some other cause for it, in which case, I'm back to square one.
Now I'm just soaking the LBK and the fiver so they'll be easier to clean.

Hey, 5 vials is 5 vials.
The Nong Brewery defines "Fermentation" as: Making "Rot" a Good Thing

That's a good bit of yeast!
Re: Whew!
A busy day in the brauhaus is always better than a slow day in the brauhaus.

Word
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
Edgar Allan Poe
