Happy Birthday ... hope it's the carboy, or something else you'll like.

Well Dave your mom could certainly have an LL Bean put in a box big enough to hold a better bottle but not the other way around so she could really be pulling one over on you, if it's a little box you'll know for sure but if it is a big box you may have to shake it. :p

:wow: I wouldn't admit that if it were true. My mother had trouble video taping a show once, and after 15 minutes on the phone I figured out she hadn't put in the tape...

I visited an 83 year old man today. I bought an ingenious folding dinghy from him, listed on craigslist. Later, looking at his email reply, I noticed that it said "Sent from my iPad". He has also built many boat and airplane models, as well as life size seaplanes. Interesting guy.

And if you think an 80+-year-old good Christian woman from Tennessee would give one of her boys an exotic dancer in beer labels for his birthday, well, son, you're plumb twitter-pated.
That, right there, is just another example of why I strive to "Be Like Dave." Eloquent. Straight to the point. Paints a picture. Love it, man, love it.

And don't forget......Swenocha is a vast bastard of brewing knowledge.

Well, I was right!

The package arrived yesterday, and as soon as I saw the size of the box, I knew what it was. Seeing that it was from Northern Brewer really clinched it, and I had SWMBO call my mom to confirm it. So yeah, I now have a 3 gallon Better Bottle carboy. This is very timely, as I'm brewing a 'NillaMilk Stout this morning, and I'll need to rack it to a secondary when I'm ready to add the vanilla bean tincture. I won't have to tie up an LBK for it. And in the future, I'll use the BB for primary and a surplus LBK should I need a secondary.

I'm happy for you Dave, but are you sure there isn't a dancer in the bottle? Maybe some-one from the borg will show up wearing beer labels. Guys?

I don't know about volunteering for that Ink' since you don't wear anything under your kilt and labels; I think it gets pretty darn cold in Dave's neck of the woods. :freeze:

I walk dogs in the snow in February in shorts, no lie I'm weird like that. Plus that's my excuse when ask about size "Hey it's cold, what do you expect" :p
