Now that BB&B has moved on, they would be harder to get around here outside of Target. At the Opry Mills, they used to have them at BB&B, a kitchen store, and at Bass Pro Shop. Haven't been out there, so not sure if they all still have them, but outside of that outlet, BB&B was the only game in town.

never go to sears just way too far away but k mart and a couple drug stores usually carry MrB around here. swmbo got me mine at k-mart last dec.. been noticing them there since my brother started brewing Mrb about 3 years ago. kept seeing the display every Christmas, but was unwilling to spend the bucks on a maybe. this year not there.

They are in our local BJ's. But I've had little success with the mixes, so I'm off that, even discounted.

I was just back over to the MB forum again tonight, and every time I go there with hopes they have made it like it use to be, it is not. The only thing I see they have been doing lately is deleting post they don't want on there. Conclusion, it is as good as it will ever get now. It is dead...........

unfortunately they will also kill the joy of brewing with their poor instructions when their instructions are followed their beer is worse than The Big Boy's Piss Water Brands!!

There were so many unanswered questions, I just went through and answered a handful. Regardless the problems with the site, I feel like giving the new Christmas brewers a fighting chance... :woot:

I thought their current PDF instructions were pretty good.

First I've seen that, not bad, I see they pulled their head out somewhat.

a lot better than what I got ferment one week, carb one week drink, YUK YUK YUK!!! Would have quit if it was not for the BORG!!! Bottom line for me MR B is one of the most expensive ways to brew & not worth the cost. Too much for too little. May get my Dad a Brew Demon for his B-Day

Definately NOT worth the cost. They stink. Go read my How long thread. Don't waste your hard earned $$ folks, buy different ingredients and make a much better beer without them!

Very nice of you to do that for them. Unfortunately, those who did receive their MB kits for Christmas may think that is what home brewing is. Too bad and they may end up making beer (or something close) and think "that's it"? and give up on home brewing. Sad to think but more than I'd say 80% will never brew another batch again after their first ones with MB, due to many circumstances like bad instruction, no assistance from MB forums, etc. etc.

I hope many can find their way here to the :borg: and continue their new hobby with some sort of direction and people willing to assist them with their questions.

Or elsewhere. I always research anything I try new. Maybe they'll buy a book, or go to their LHBS, or find HBT. The resources are out there.
But they'll be best off here!

Always a nice gesture to try to save those who have been set up for failure..... seriously... if someone wants to brew beer, they will research and find... whether it is here or there, they will find a way. There will always be those who want somethng for nothing... or beer with no work....not sure how to help them. but for those who truely want to brew beer, they will not give up just because the got a MB kit and their support system sucks...
What is really sad is that MB gave up on their premier support system. I didn't read it, but it sounds like they are at least making an effort now.

I also say those who have a true interest in homebrewing will do a search for advice/tips and find us one way or the other. It is afterall how I found the Mr.Beer forum. I did not find it via a link on their own site, I had searched for tips on cleaning the LBK and easy modifications to improve the recipes.

Was just there looking like the typical post Christmas noobie activity. For the love of brewing I answered a few. So much for Petey banning me for life a couple of months ago for pushing the BORG. Like I asked before why are they so afraid of the BORG?? We were there support system!!
