Something has been troubling me

Post by Gymrat »

Ever since I got netflix and watched the old Incredible Hulk episodes. I have to wonder, was the Incredible Hulk played by Lou Ferrigno a really whimpy version of the Hulk? Or is it just me? The new CGI Hulks are much more realistic based on the comics...excuse me...graphic novels. The old Lou Ferrigno Hulk could be killed by simple bullets. He was really vulnerable. The CGI Hulk just gets madder and more powerful when he gets shot.

Opinions?

To be honest, there are a lot of shows and movies that I'll come across on Netflix and watch, and just think to myself "Was I on crack when I watched this when I was younger?" They don't appear as entertaining, nor as awesome as I remember when I first watched them. I think technology of today has corrupted us and we expect a lot more than what the technology from back then was capable of.

But you can't mess with the sad hitchhiking Bull Bixby music at the end...

I always think that on Netflix as well. Especially was a fan of BSG (old in the day, and a big fan of the new one), but it looks particularly dated. But, when setting up Netflix on the new Wii U for the kids, I got sucked into the "Hand of God" episode from the old series. It is a great episode.

I know you guys are probably talking about about the streaming programs but I'd sure like to get a DVD from them that isn't so banged up we can watch the whole thing.

Almost every other one we've gotten was broken and it is always towards the middle or the end; what a let down. Then you go online to let them know and their website makes it look like you are the one that did something wrong. Sheesh.

most of the Hotties from TV's past should be left in a soft spot of our memories... The HD of today may show the flaws we willingly over looked in the past.
