Another beer score

Post by Beer-lord »

Besides the awesome Secret Santa I got from Aaron, I got 4 bombers from my brother in law in from Portland, Or. He brought the 3 on the left (I got the other 2 on the right locally) ...Green & Gold, Oakshire IPA and Hop Henge IPA. We drank the 4th one, Apocalypse IPA from 10 Barrel Brewing. Good stuff.
I had given him some things I knew he could get in his area but most were not in season. The Hop Henge is one that consistently rates high and since it's Deschutes, I knew it would have to be good.
These are all pretty much traditional, West Coast IPA's, except the Green & Gold which is a Kolsch, but these will hopefully help me tweak some of my beers a bit. Plus, I love IPA's.

Nice! I'm gonna have to have a loooooooooooong talk with my family... they don't get me beer or brewing supplies. Great score!

Very nice! I got a large bottle of Brooklyn Brewery's 25th Anniversary. Gonna save it for Super Bowl Sunday, I think.

I do love Widmer Bros. beers. Their Alchemy ale is fantastic, and their hefe is delicious. Big fan of Kolsch beers (Harpoon's Summer Beer in particular) so I'd definitely love to try the Green and Gold.
