Very Very good is all I can say. And it will do the job. 12% abv one of the best tasting beer's i have ever had. I picked this up in a 64 oz growler first time for me getting beer in a growler pretty neat way to purchase beer.
Re: Scaldis Noel.
Though I have too much beer on hand to justifiably consider buying a growler fill at this point, I do also enjoy getting growlers as well. Yazoo does $7 fills on Wednesday, so it's very economical, though many places are as high as $12 for a fill.
I have a pretty wide variety of growlers now. In addition to a few standard clear glass Yazoo growlers...
and flippie (Grolsch-style) Whole Foods half growlers...

Now that I'm kegging, growlers are handy for packing beers for an afternoon/evening out... I would like to get a brown one though.

Re: Scaldis Noel.
When u fill a growler from the keg, do you use a beer gun, or does it keep carb'd for a few days? How long does it stay carbed when u do this? Just curious as I stopped giving away beer, did not want to give my buds flat beer.mtsoxfan wrote:Now that I'm kegging, growlers are handy for packing beers for an afternoon/evening out... Life is short, live it to it's fullest!

Wonder if you can carb in that Whole Foods flippie... That would be nice for a party if it's safe...
Re: Scaldis Noel.
I fill using my bottling wand connected to the tap via a chort piece of hose. I run the wand through a bung plug (damn, I'm gonna hear about this, but don't know the name) and use that to seal the growler. Slowly releasing pressure as needed, but this will help prevent foaming. I also pour off a pint first, as it's usually the first pint that foams a bit more. That pint relieves the thirst created by all this hard work....
Beers, if properly carbed, will stay carbed, you you can pack and ship.
I don't have it, but someone will have a link to show how this set up is made, quite easy and inexpensive,,, Beer gun? we don't need no stickin' beer gun...
