IMHO, the Mr. Beer forum is really dead because they screwed it up and made it much harder to find when you search, losing all their natural search ranking when they changed the link structure. That takes forever to rebuild. It's also down because I believe that their site's traffic is way off.

The forum traffic is way down from what it was.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Good point Rick. And it's a spiral: no search history, hard to access, leads to no search history, no-one wants to access, no posts, no history. Down down down.

I have nothing against MB or their products, just their forum downgrade, My last post over there was on the "Did the owners Daughter make this forum" or something like that and it is now deleted. I'm sure I'm not banned but I don't like the layout of the forum and have nothing to say.
If someone asked me now what would be the easiest and fastest way to start brewing, I would point them towards Brew Demon.

Agree'd b, their products was ok for me too. It's not the products I have the problem with, it's the way they ruined a once great forum. They destroyed alot with the change for sure. I used to be pretty vocal, esp. when I saw anyone looking at the products in the store. I know for a fact I have started quite a few ppl on their kits talking to them in the stores and on-line. BUT, because of their recent actions, very childish actions on their part, I will never recommend any use their products again. I have no problem with those that do, brew on brothers!

Ok Beer Fans... MB has changed the community home page. They still have the BOM, but have started it off with a how to video, and are now preching BEERBORG findings... no longer just one week in the bottle... etc.
Can I get a "Da DAH DAAAAAAAAH"?
The Nong Brewery defines "Fermentation" as: Making "Rot" a Good Thing

Thanks, I'll check it out. BTW, I'm drinking MrB Fall Seasonal Brown right now. Nice. A little more complex flavors than I favor, but I like it.

I may be more inclined to get some brew demon when I do another extract order though ... miss the wicket, the ADIPA and the pilothouse.

I still check the forum. I'm just still a newbie really (6 months) and need to soak up as much info/answers as possible.

Plus... it's nice to see a few people that know less than me, and that I can help. (LOL) What little that may be. From my personal hands on experience.

It reassures me that I'm learning, and gives me great appreciation for Brew University (The BeerBorg) and all of the professors that reside here. :flag:
