Impressive beer selection in my supermarket

Post by Banjo-guy »

The King Kullen in my town has really improved the beer quality that they sell. King Kullen is a large super market with many stores through out Long Island.
I will not be able to list them all but here is what I remember:

Brooklyn Brewery,Sam Adams, Blue Point,Longboard,Spider Bite,Smithwick,Harpoon,Ithaca,South Hampton,Leinkugel,Guiness,Sierra Nevada,DogFish,Smithwick,Magic Hat, Long Trail,Goose Island,Flying Dog. There are a bunch more domestic names. I see new beers come in occasionally.

There's a whole bunch of European Beers also. Some Belgians, and English.
Of course they have all of the BMC and their fake "craft beer" labels.

I'm just amazed that this basic supermarket is stocking an interesting and large beer selection.

I think people want good beer and a willing to pay more for it. At least it seems like more people than a few year back.

it seems as if "The King of Beers" lot is loosing it's subjects. Some one messed up and actually let them taste a good beer. Silly Buggars we are.
The Nong Brewery defines "Fermentation" as: Making "Rot" a Good Thing

:borg: Welcome to the BeerBorg Information Center. You will be assimilated. Resistance is Quite Futile: WE have BEER.

We had a Fairway open up nearby, and I went in to peruse the suds. I was impressed, and picked up a sixer of Lagunitas Brown Shugga. Unusual beer. Unusual in a good way, though. Lagunitas does a good job.
