BeerSmith: Gaging interest!
I have an may have an opportunity to start distributing BeerSmith software here on the BeerBorg. But I would like to gage interest before moving forward with it! I know that quite a few people her on the Beerborg already use this software but if there is enough interest from people that may be thinking of purchasing it I would move forward with the distributing it.
From what I know Beersmith does keep a somewhat tight rein on the pricing but does allow for limited time discounts to help the distributor get started. I would obviously pass whatever savings on to the BeerBorg.
Please let me know if you have any interest in getting the [ur=http://www.beersmith.com]BeerSmith Software[/url] at a discount here on the BeerBorg?

l already use it. I have both the desktop and the new Mobile Lite version. It's an awesome piece of software. For those of you that don't have it, and if Louie can offer it at a discount, take advantage of it. Nice work Louie!!

Same here, have both versions and wouldn't brew without it now.
Thanks for the chance Louie. You're the man again!

I've already got it, fully licensed. I won't vote, but if I didn't have it yet, I definitely would be interested! This software is worth its weight in gold!
Re: BeerSmith: Gaging interest!
Another vote for the already have it crowd. Great piece of software, and pretty easy to use once you play around with it a bit. Now that I think about it, my version is probably 2 years old. Might be a good time to update...

I'm interested since I don't yet have it.

I have it... had it for a bit.. still trying to tweak it right. Good software, just needs customized to each individuals equipment, etc.
Life is short, live it to it's fullest!
Re: BeerSmith: Gaging interest!
I've been on the fence, since Qbrew has been filling my current needs, but I keep hearing about all this neat stuff in BeerSmith, so I'll vote yes.
Re: BeerSmith: Gaging interest!
I don't think anyone would dis Qbrew, most of who started on the MB site probably also started with that as well. Another great Screwy contribution.Sparrow wrote:I've been on the fence, since Qbrew has been filling my current needs, but I keep hearing about all this neat stuff in BeerSmith, so I'll vote yes.
BeerSmith has much more versatility one you start designing recipes with multiple ingredients and want an inventory function.
It does require some early trial and error tweaking until you get your equipment dialed in.
Louie maybe a software help thread would encourage those on the fence to pull the trigger on a purchase if they know they can ask questions on this sight.
My brother wasn't real thrilled with the BS forum when we first got it installed.

Re: BeerSmith: Gaging interest!
I've already got the PC version, so I will abstain, but will add my voice to those who recommend the software. I loved QBrew -- it's a great tool. But once I started using BeerSmith, I didn't turn back.
Right now the full version has a couple of minor annoyances, particularly for extract brewers, but Brad is working on fixing those (plus addressing some other bug fixes and enhancements) and I'm hoping that when he releases the changes this fall, the product will be even more indispensible than it is already.

Cost to Borg member (initially) would be between $18 to $20, if that helps. Normal cost is $28

Re: BeerSmith: Gaging interest!
I have version 2.0.46. Would this be a replacement (brand new version), or is there an upgrade path?

Re: BeerSmith: Gaging interest!
I would be interested in purchasing it through you. I tried the demo once but I had problems getting the program configured and gave up. Now that I plan on moving up to BIAB it seems like it would be a really useful tool.
I did vote yes but due to my current finances I may or may not be able to purchase at the time you offer it so please don't count on my vote as a guaranteed purchase.
