Lost power yesterday afternoon and by the time it came back on at 6 this morning, it was 41 degrees in the house. Back to 65 now, but -12 outside, wind chill -40. Reminds me of my days a KI Sawyer AFB in the UP of Michigan. This would be average winter weather there but I moved south to Indy 26 years ago and haven't been this cold since. My Sorel artic boots came in handy while I dug out the driveway from the foot of new snow.

I'm in envy of all you guys up north right now.

I just finished weed pulling season this fall and don't get a snow shoveling season here. I have to wait until the spring weed pulling season starts to do outside chores again.

Well if this is Global Warming then I, obviously, am not getting my fair share. -18 right now and dropping. Our Governor closed all public schools for today (Monday) and I won't be surprised to see them closed again tomorrow.

It's -15f with a windchill of -40f. I just finished plowing/shoveling and it took about 3 times longer than normal because the snowblower was running so poorly and the way they plowed. They only are doing one pass on the neighborhood streets which was nice except they plowed everything out of the culdesac across the street into our driveway then made one pass with the plow. There was a 8 ft wide strip of snow that was about 3.5 ft tall of heavy packed snow that I had to shovel out because the snowblower couldn't move it.

But I'm inside drinking a hot chocolate with cinnamon and rum so it's all good now.

Just off Eerie, it's six, with a windchill of -19 right now, but it's supposed to drop to zero or one overnight with wind chills of -25...

To top it off, we're getting the lake effect snow machine... Could get 2+ feet where I 'm at, 3-4 down by Berryman...

Hate winter...

As cold as we have been, we have not got squat for snow, atleast I'm thankful for that, esp. since my snowblower tractor took a dump.
