Brew Dogs - Esquire TV Channel

Post by Funky Skunk Brewing »

Thumbing through the TV guide channel yesterday I ran across a new (to me) channel called Esquire. They were running a marathon of the show Brew Dogs. This show feature to Scottish brewers that I believe started Brew Dog Brewery in the U.K. It was a very cool show and had them all over the U.S. brewing at different breweries and locations such as a parade float and on a ferry in Seattle. They brew all different kinds of beer each show and it's pretty funny as well.

Just seeing if anyone else had seen this show or has this channel. It's worth looking in to ... Well I thought it was anyway.

I've seen it a couple times too. It is pretty funny. Not only do they brew in peculiar places, like the ferry in Seattle, they also brew with some really interesting ingredients. Like local flowers and weeds. I saw one where they were brewing with guys from Sam Adams. They were trying to make some funky recipe that I don't exactly remember, but I do remember the guys actually sitting in the mash tun. They were trying to sour the mash. Here's a link...you'll have to wait to get through the ad at the beginning. http://tv.esquire.com/videos/70745-brew ... -beer-bath

EDIT....Hey Jeff...this brings a whole new aspect to showering with your beer!!!

Yeah its an interesting and fun show. I think they only have 7 or 8 episodes, all have been pretty good. No word yet on if there will be a season 2. Another beer related show I watch is Beer Geeks. It comes on at 3:30am where I am. The guy goes to a different brewery every episode. They sample some beers, go through the process of making one of the beers, and then do a food pairing. He talks about different hops, grain, and techniques throughout, nothing too in depth though. Pretty decent show. http://beergeeks.tv/

I haven't watched Beer Geeks, but Brew Dogs I found to be quite entertaining, although the guys' accents are so thick.

Beer Geeks isn't shown in Oklahoma, but I set the DVR to record Brew Dogs. Thanks for the tip. :thanks:

I found the show to be very entertaining, those guys are pretty clever. Also, if you have ever had any of their beer, they make some good ones! In particular, Brew Dog Tokyo which is I think 18% is a delicious beer. It has in immense amount of flavor, and its is very complex. Stick to one bottle though and drink it slow :woot:

Yeah, I like "brew Dogs." Although I'm over his whole saying "hello" to the beer thing. Waiting for season two. I liked the one in San Fran where they collected fog to use as the water in their steam beer. The one where they visit Stone Brewery in San Diego was good too.

Checked the DVR this morning and it seems it did it's job and recorded all their episodes. I believe a marathon evening is in order Friday night in preparation for brewing on Saturday.

Binge TV watching started when Netflix started streaming entire series of TV shows. I got through the first 5 seasons of Breaking Bad in a few weeks.
