Draft Magazine's 100 Best Beer Bars 2014 list

Post by swenocha »

I get a free subscription to Draft Magazine, and I noticed they have published their 5th annual list of favorite beer bars.

Four of my favorites made the list:

Heorot - 219 S. Walnut St., Muncie, Ind.
Hops + Crafts - 319 12th Ave. S., Nashville, Tenn.
Sergio’s World Beers - 1605 Story Ave., Louisville, Ky.
The Nook - 3305 Bob Wallace Ave. SW, Huntsville, Ala.

Did yours make the list? Any listed in your area that you're going to try? RedLight Red Light was already on my list for my next Orlando visit, but some others look interesting as well...

I hear a lot about Redlight Redlight here. I suppose I need to check it out!

There is one bar here that is awesome called Oblivion Taproom. They've got a ton of beers and ciders on tap, along with a huge list of bottled beers, ciders, and meads.

The two I know of that are here in Louisville are Sergio's World Beers and Holy Grale. Both really great places.

Grey Lodge was great. Eulogy Belgian and Monk's Cafe are on my list.

I am a bit amazed that Ashley's in Livonia and Ann Arbor didnt make it.

Also, although more of a chain and for general info (although not sure if a local thing), the Bailey's (Fox and Hound) here in Dearborn has two dollar Tuesday for anything on tap including such things as Two Hearted, Breakfast Stout, etc. Between a Groupon, SWMBO playing their app on her smart phone ($5 in about 5 minutes), and $2 Tuesday, the two of us can eat, drink, and have a cheap date night for around $10-20 depending on how thirsty we are. I have to laugh as the bar next door also has going on the same day $2 domestics. Hmmm, Dragonmead Final Absolution or Coors Light for two bucks? Lemme think a moment....
