I've Got My Saturday Planned

Post by Chuck N »

I boycotted last years because they supposedly wouldn't allow Home Brewers to do any kind of display. But I later found out it was because of legal issues. So I'm going this year.

Brewing Expo's are so much fun for 2 reasons. 1 You get to try new beer flavor styles or flavors you have never tried before and 2 You find out how good our brewing creations really are. Make sure you have a designated driver thou and be safe out there! CHEERS! David

Well, apparently I'm not the only one in southern MN that enjoys craft beer:

And you can't have a beer-fest in southern MN without a good "Oompa" band.

I tried alot of beers but not nearly as many as I would have liked to. But after a while my taste buds went into over-load and the beers started to taste the same. But I had a heck of a good time and met a lot of great people (although most of the stands were manned by people that worked for the local distributor and not the particular brewery). Tried a lot of different styles. Some pretty traditional some kind of weird (jalapeno?) but like I said, toward the end of the event they all started to taste the same. When we were done I walked to a near-by BW3s and had a dozen wings and a COKE so I'd be good to drive.

I'm definitely planning going again next year.
