Good to hear from you Joe, and glad you got a handle on your health. It's hard sometimes but the longer you maintain this life style change the easier it'll get.

So what are you doing with the can of worms the doctor found in you? Dying of waiting to hear how the worms are doing. So I guess our plans of bar-hopping are off next month but we can visit all the soda fountains in Austin area...looking forward to that!!!!

Take care my friend and glad you got your hearing aids fixed and finally hearing & listening to your lovely wife & doctor.

It's unfortunate that gout is such a "no beer" problem, but it is. I happen to have receive a transcript of Joe's conversations with his doctors...

Doctor #1 - "Joe, with gout, you have to lay off the alcohol and especially the beer. Even a little beer can trigger a gout attack".

Joe - *RESPONSE HAS BEEN REDACTED DUE TO FORUM RESTRICTIONS*

Doctor # 32 - "Joe, with gout, you have to not drink beer, even a sip".

Hospital Administrator - "Can anyone tell me why we've admitted so many doctors with banged up faces in the last week"?
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Well I WAS going to ask Joe if I could have his brew kettle if he can't drink beer anymore but on second thought I might end up wearing around my head on the way home. :p

I have a friend with Celiac Disease, it changes your eating habits for sure, same with gout. Have you tried gluten free brewing, Joe? ED Humm, sex or beer, sex or beer. I would feel like those cocaine monkeys from the late 80s commercials, I mean he is married so he could drink more than once a month. :( :D
