AXS Tribute show

Post by swenocha »

Has anyone caught this tribute band show on AXS? I stumbled into the Purple Reign concert (Prince), and it's pretty fun. Basically a live one-hour concert by the best tribute bands. I've never heard of it, but this is the first episode of the third season. (Heck, I've never heard of AXS) Here's the rest of this season:

Jan. 6 – Purple Reign – A Tribute to Prince
Jan. 13 – Bella Donna – A Tribute to Stevie Nicks
Jan. 20 – Rhymin’ N Stealin’ – A Tribute to the Beastie Boys
Jan. 27 – The Long Run – A Tribute to The Eagles
Feb. 3 – The Garth Guy – A Tribute to Garth Brooks
Feb. 10 – No Duh – A Tribute to No Doubt
Feb. 17 – True 2 Crue – A Tribute to Motley Crue
Feb. 24 – The Pettybreakers – A Tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
March 3 – Draw The Line – A Tribute to Aerosmith
March 10 – Wings Band – A Tribute to Paul McCartney
March 24 – Bruce in the USA – A Tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
March 31 – Abbacadabra – A Tribute to ABBA
April 7 – The Nirvana Experience – A Tribute to Nirvana
April 14 – Bonfire – A Tribute to AC/DC
April 21 – Mr. Speed – A Tribute to KISS

Previous seasons included tributes to: The Beatles (x2), The Rolling Stones, The Who, Van Halen, Elton John, Journey, AC/DC, The Doors, Queen, Metallica, U2, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, The Police, Guns N Roses, Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, Depeche Mode, and Led Zeppelin

Just some fun diversion... :hammer:

I found it and set bit up to tape the series. Only shows the next one, Stevie Nicks, so I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens with the rest.

Gonna bump this thread for those who haven't seen it. I set this up to tape from the original post and it's still going. Listening to a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band right now. Pretty damn good and brings back a lot of memories (Free Bird playing as I type this). Some of the bands have been ok (bands or styles that are not to my liking) others have been totally awesome. Not a huge Pearl Jam fan, but last week the tribute band ROCKED it.

Thanks Swen! :clink:
